VP of Enrichment

Laura Whittington enrichments@dsepta.org

Hey y’all! I am Laura Whittington and I am so thrilled to be overseeing Enrichments this year for the PTA. My husband Evin and I are Lake Travis graduates who settled in Dripping Springs 8 years ago. You will see him helping with the WATCH D.O.G.S.® program this year. We have two children who are enrolled at DSE (Lulu 2nd, August K) and another who can’t wait to begin Pre-K next year (Jacob 3). I have really enjoyed my time helping with programs like Reflections, Room Parent, and the Talent Show so I am looking forward to working with the school and growing family engagement and letting our Tigers shine. I joke that I live on campus between all of the different volunteer hats I like to put on so if you see me please say hey! In the time I’m not at the school, I also help the DSYSA Rec Cheer program as commissioner. You may see our cheerleaders dressed out in their Tiger best on Fridays!  Being able to give back to the community we call home is such a gift to my family and we are always proud Tigers anywhere we go!

Laura oversees the following committees:

Book Fair, Chicken Coop, Class Playground (Equipment), Culture Fair, Graduating Senior Scholarships/Nominating Committee for Scholarships, Healthy Living, Outdoor Classroom, Outdoor Facilities/Recess Equipment,  Reflections, Mileage Team, Science Lab, Spelling Bee, Talent Show, Teacher Workroom, UIL, Watch Dogs

Secretary

Meghan Rossi secretary@dsepta.org

This is my third year serving on the PTA Board at DSE. I served as Committee Chair for Fall Fest and had so much fun they couldn't get rid of me. I look forward to serving the school in all of our fundraising efforts. Elementary years are some of the most special, and it's my goal to make our school events some of the most cherished childhood memories for our families. I see how hard our teachers and staff work, and it's a thrill to know that the fruits of our efforts will help to enrich their classroom needs. We appreciate our teachers and we want to show it! I have two children at DSE (2nd and 4th), and look forward to seeing you throughout the school year. Go Tigers!

Parliamentarian

Skyla Badger

I have three children and have been a parent at DSE for 14 years (and going strong for a couple more).  Volunteering around my work schedule hasn’t always been easy.  I started with sharpening pencils at home for the teacher and sending them back to her in my kid’s backpack.  I loved DSE from the beginning and it fills my bucket to help the staff and students. I’ve served DSE PTA, DSMS PTA, and DSISD Council of PTAs in many capacities.  I am currently the parliamentarian and help with science lab, recess inventory, and staff vending.

PTA Liason

Katie Dotson

This is my third year on the PTA board. I have one kid at DSE, one at DSMS, and one at DSHS. We have loved being at DSE the past 6 years, and I'm so excited I am able to continue serving this amazing school and staff! If I'm not working out, I'm probably chugging coffee and enjoying time outside with my family!
